Tammy Testa
AIA, LEED AP, EDAC
Vice President, Senior Project Manager
Dallas, Texas USA
Tammy considers her job to be about advocacy as much as it is architecture. After two decades in healthcare, she believes architects create order out of what appears to be chaos, combining art, science, sociology, and psychology. Tammy brings a natural, collaborative style to every project, responsible for coordinating between the hospital leadership, staff, and her team, while executing construction administration for complex projects. “The world is ever-changing, as is the healthcare field — I am amazed by how the pandemic rocked almost everything about the delivery of healthcare,” she says.
Tammy has managed projects for multiple behavioral healthcare facilities including Green Oaks and Parkland, as well as hospital renovations at Medical City, Baylor Scott & White, and Children’s Health. She feels Parkland Hospital was a pinnacle. “The magnitude of this one project’s influence on Dallas County was front and center — It felt like a “Super Bowl” effort.”
Tammy serves others in her personal life as well, advocating for those in need within the community. “When I volunteer with one of my daughters serving others, it’s a great day!”
