Born and raised in Brazil, Marcela knew she wanted to be an architect when she saw a perspective drawing for the first time at age 10. “My Dad was a civil engineer and kept large blueprints around the house — I was very interested early on,” she says. With Corgan for over a decade, Marcela oversees the design and construction of data centers in multiple locations throughout the U.S. As a team leader, she empowers her coworkers to grow into their roles as well-rounded architects, leading client meetings and running their own projects.

Marcela is excited about the direction the Data Centers Studio is headed, with ultra-high demand, sustainability at top of mind, and innovations at every turn. “Data Center design is adaptive and evolves along with the latest technologies and team players — it’s thrilling to actively participate in Corgan's thought leadership,” she says.

After hours, she is involved with Paws in the City dog rescue, fostering more than forty dogs in her home over the years. “They live with us from the time they are pulled out of a high-kill shelter until they are adopted — it’s our family’s favorite activity, and it’s good therapy for me as well!”
