Emiliano Ciarletti
RA NY, TX, AIA, RIBA, LEED AP
Vice President, Project Manager
Raised by a father who is an architect in Italy exposed Emiliano to architecture early in life, so it was only natural that he developed a curiosity at a young age. A leader in the Aviation Studio, Emiliano’s interest in airplanes and aviation marries his two greatest passions. “Airports are extremely complex infrastructures that highly impact the people using them, and these aspects make my everyday work dynamic and stimulating,” he says. “Each airport is different, and each project presents its own set of challenges; the multidisciplinary nature of these projects gives me the opportunity to work with a wide range of professionals -- It’s a unique experience of professional enrichment.”
Emiliano is involved in every phase of the project ranging from a small airline lounge to a major airport terminal renovation, experiencing first-hand the evolving nature of the project through the development of the design to the construction phase, where ideas and “lines” translate into real construction. He ensures the design team and the general contractor collaborate to respect the design intent and deliver the project successfully, on schedule, and within budget.
The projects he is most proud of are the BNA Vision at Nashville International Airport because of the scale, complexity, and high project profile as well as the Tokyo Haneda International Airport Delta Sky Club renovation due to the challenges related to cultural differences and coordinating the project in a remote location.
In his spare time, Emiliano blows off steam mountain climbing, hiking, biking, and traveling. “I am always looking for the next adventure,”
