Ginger Gee DiFurio
IIDA, LEED AP
Vice President, Aviation Studio Design Director
Dallas, Texas USA
With over 50 total aviation projects to her credit, Ginger is instrumental in expanding our presence in the aviation market. “An airport is no longer a machine to move people through — it’s about placemaking, hospitality, and entertainment — and most importantly, it’s about creating a destination,” she explains. Her most pivotal project was Dallas Love Field, her first major project as a design lead. Amazed by the complexity that went into the program, it helped to define her career. “This project type never stops challenging me to learn and push my curiosity.”
Ginger executes a well-curated design strategy and balances trend forecasting with timeless design while enhancing the aesthetic. She transcends the commonplace perception of hospitality, winning top airport awards for her projects. As Studio Design Director, Ginger leads teams starting with conceptual schematic design through to construction administration. Some of her most notable projects are Delta Sky Clubs, American Airlines Admirals Clubs, and Centurion Lounges for American Express. “I love crafting experiences where people can thrive — whether creating places to live, work, or play — it’s a great feeling to see visions come alive.”
To recharge Ginger travels, immersing herself in authentic experiences. Born and raised in Taiwan, at age 19 she immigrated to the U.S., valuing worldly views that make us more empathetic and inclusive to ultimately become better human beings.
