Since joining the firm as an intern in 2004, Mark has been dedicated to data center design, helping clients explore design solutions to forecast the future of their buildings. From site constraints to procurement challenges, he synthesizes these considerations into a final product where both the owner and building user are satisfied. “Architecture is largely about problem-solving across an array of disciplines — math, mechanical engineering, art, nature, sociology, and government requirements — and we get to do a little bit of everything,” he says.
As a leader, he oversees the design and day-to-day operations of ground-up and renovation data center projects. With a strong background in project management and leadership development, Mark has been involved in significant projects encompassing over 8 million square feet. He is dedicated to collaborating with contractors and consultants to find the right solution while keeping the lines of communication open between all stakeholders. “We are just scratching the surface of the potential to collaborate through technology, and workforce availability is making us rethink new ways of assembling buildings,” he says.
After hours, Mark stays active cooking, swimming, running, and playing basketball with his two boys. “I am passionate about spending quality time with my family.”
