Rick brings 45+ years of experience in upper-level management, including 28 years as a career officer in the U.S. Navy and 25 years in data center operations and management. His background expands large complex and global organizations as an executive leader, program manager, and Data Center Q&M subject matter expert.
His career focus is on the areas of operational governance program development, cross-functional coordination, and design team delivery. A decade ago, while on staff at the Uptime Institute, he co-authored the original Tier Standard – Operational Sustainability (TS:OS) Guide and coordinated the development of the TS:OS Certification Program now in widespread use globally. As a leader and former Naval officer, Rick is motivated by the desire to see things get done efficiently and correctly.
