Pearl McLin
Vice President, Project Manager
Los Angeles, California USA
From a young age, Pearl has been passionate about design pretending to design spaces for imaginary clients. By the time she attended Brooklyn Technical High School in New York City, she knew her career would be in architecture. After attending university on the opposite side of the country at USC, she settled in Los Angeles where she has since delivered projects ranging from small renovations to new terminals. “My passion is turning the client's vision into reality by making sure all the details come together just right —it is all about solving the puzzle and finding the balance between function, aesthetics, and maintenance —the more complicated the better!”
As a leader in the Los Angeles Studio, Pearl has a breadth of experience facilitating every phase of an aviation project. She shines at coordinating large teams to develop the best solution for her clients. “When I run into a challenge, I collaborate with the talented team members across the firm and my established network to layer their knowledge with my own and make the most informed decision for my client’s benefit —this approach has served me well throughout my career.”
One project Pearl is especially proud of is the LAX West Gates at Tom Bradley Gates, where she had a hand in curating the passenger experience throughout the building from the overall interior and art installations to each one of the concession spaces. Most recently Pearl has been involved in designing some of the most innovative airport lounges across the country.
When not curating the travel experience, Pearl can be found mentoring the next generation of architects. She also enjoys cooking, traveling, and relaxing with her husband and her dog Han Solo, who has unofficially taken on the role of the company mascot as “The Corgan Corgi.”
