Halima McWilliams
MS, SHRM-CP, PHR, CDP
Associate Principal, Human Resources Director
Dallas, Texas USA
Having witnessed and experienced moments of exclusion at a young age, Halima has dedicated her professional life to fostering inclusive spaces and cultures as a certified HR and DEI practitioner. “Ever since I was a middle schooler,” Halima says, “I knew that creating environments and communities where people felt safe, seen, and heard was going to be a part of my journey.”
With 25 years of experience and empathy being one of her greatest strengths, Halima excels at creating an inclusive employee experience and a culture focused on growth and belonging. With her team, she has led the development of Corgan University, a 24/7 multi-mode place of learning to keep associates engaged and curious, and Belong, our first strategic DEI framework that embeds inclusion and equity as a part of our values. “As a certified design-thinking practitioner, I’m always asking the question, ‘How might we?’” Halima says.
Her sense of curiosity and growth mindset inform her personal life as well, as she strives to be of service to others. A believer that, in the words of Shirley Chisholm, “Service is the rent we pay for living on this Earth,” Halima sees community service as a way to gain a broader understanding of and respect for others’ lived experiences as well as the beauty of humanity.
