Ludovick (Ludo) Michaud
Vice President, VFX Creative Director
Dallas, Texas USA
Ludo helps clients visualize their designs, ideas, and stories. He has spent most of his career creating visual effects in television and film, including the Spy Kids Series, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and Night at the Museum, along with thousands of commercials, countless game trailers, and several 3D rides. In 2013, Ludo joined the MediaLab 3D/FX visual department to elevate the firm’s VFX and Immersive experience using innovative tools and technology. He says his work is informed by solving problems. “People come to me for creative solutions that surpass the challenging level, and I help get their vision out to the world.”
In tenth grade, Ludo was immersed in architecture before moving to a more elusive model, unconstrained by physics, into the world of visual effects. He finds inspiration in studying human history, particle physics, and genetics, and in his spare time, he travels to far corners of the world, studying history and cultures.
In addition to leading the MediaLab Team, Ludo travels the country supporting programs for the Visual Effects Society (VES) and thrives on teaching and elevating others. “My biggest pride resides in seeing the people I've mentored flourish and become stars in the field of visual effects,” he declares. His greatest joy is raising his kids and molding them to achieve their dreams. “My two children are more rewarding than I ever could have imagined.”
