New headquarters location establishes an image of quiet sophistication.
TXAT has a long history and commitment to quality, performance, and innovation. In support of their growing domestic and international business, they chose to move their corporate headquarters out of the previous manufacturing facility into a corporate headquarters environment. The new headquarters communicates their successful and sophisticated culture that is progressive yet reserved and tied to its roots in Texas.
The design and planning of the office focused on the future growth of the company and flexibility for future acquisitions, allowing for the division of future teams and companies.
Sophisticated Finishes
Exposed structural elements and raw concrete complement rich wood, metal and stone materials highlighting the attention to detail in their business and their appreciation of craft. The neutral palette provides a gallery-like atmosphere for displaying the owner’s collection of original contemporary art in an environment that provides abundant daylight and views to Downtown Houston.
Central Gathering
The layout separates teams to different sides of the building but has a centrally located break room to gather as a company. This space is utilized for all-hands meetings along with company-wide lunches.
Corgan issues an exception set of detailed construction documents. This ensures bid accuracy, which in turn mitigates issues with subcontractors and suppliers during construction, eliminates surprises to the owner, and minimizes change orders. It is apparent that Corgan designs with the end user in mind, creating a stunning environment that is also functional and provides flexibility for longevity. I have enjoyed the professional partnership we have developed and look forward to working with Corgan again on many more successful projects.
