Nate DeVore
AIA, LEED AP
Vice President, Project Manager
Dallas, Texas USA
As both a vice president and project manager, Nathan is an expert at managing people and processes. He is motivated by a desire to improve the experience of the end user. “I really enjoy how good design can impact the built environment and have a positive influence on human behavior,” Nathan says. Known for delivering well-conceived and coordinated projects, he provides design as well as communication and documentation of decisions, with a focus on the coordination of consultants.
In addition to leading the day-to-day, hands-on management of resources for all phases of his projects, Nathan is responsible for managing and developing our Dallas office. His involvement includes hiring, project staffing, staff development, and streamlining studio workflow. Over his 16-year career — all of which he’s spent at Corgan — Nathan has found the most pleasure in the collective nature of his work. “I enjoy the collaboration it takes to successfully deliver well-designed, complex projects,” he says. The ones he takes the most pride in — all for different reasons — include Parkland Hospital for its complexity, Toyota for speed to market, and American Airlines Credit Union for design.
Outside of work, Nathan prefers to slow down a bit — traveling, playing golf, gardening, hanging out with friends and family as well as smoking meats. “I purchased a smoker,” he says, “and I have really enjoyed learning to get better.”
