Theresa Wieck

As Project Manager for the Education Studio in West Texas, Theresa is following in her family’s footsteps. “Mom's side were contractors, and Dad's side were engineers — put them together, and you get an architect!” she declares. After starting her career in architecture, she moved to MEP engineering, and then became an owner’s representative for school districts. In her current role, she leverages the skills she learned from her combined 20+ years of experience to expand our presence in West Texas. Applying what she’s learned from the owner side and the engineering side, she provides a fresh perspective.

Theresa is a hands-on Project Manager, coordinating resources for K-12 clients exclusively in West Texas. Her biggest task is ensuring stakeholders are heard by establishing local teams to assist with architectural, construction, and design needs. “Growing up in West Texas and now as an Amarillo resident, I know the struggles and values of communities in this region,” she explains. Two recent projects she managed earned the Engineering News-Record (ENR) Projects of the Year Awards for process and team collaboration.  

Theresa attributes her success to her faith. “The best way to make God laugh is to tell him your plans — and trust me, I make Him laugh a lot — the future means being flexible and willing to adapt as life happens!”
