A Master Plan for the Future of Data

The Vantage Data Centers AZ1 campus in Goodyear, Arizona, is a testament to the evolving landscape of data center design and construction. Encompassing four state-of-the-art facilities (AZ11, AZ12, AZ13, and AZ14) with a combined capacity of 160 MW, this master planned campus sets a new standard for innovation, efficiency, and sustainability in the data center industry.

AZ11

A Dynamic and Visitor-Friendly Gateway

As the first completed phase of the campus, AZ11 serves as a dynamic and welcoming gateway. Its striking two-story facade, a harmonious blend of metal panels, curtain walls, and patterned concrete, is inspired by the natural beauty of Arizona's striated rock formations. Vertical fins strategically placed for sun shading create visual movement and enhance the building's energy efficiency.

Inside, AZ11 houses four data modules, supporting infrastructure, and office space, all powered by a dedicated substation on the southeast corner of the lot. Monumental signage and thoughtful landscaping create a visitor-friendly environment that seamlessly integrates with the surrounding community.

Expanding Capacity and Efficiency

Following the success of AZ11, the campus expanded with AZ12 and AZ13, each boasting 16 MW and 32 MW capacities respectively. These facilities continue the design language established by AZ11 while incorporating the latest advancements in data center technology. AZ13 is poised to embrace liquid cooling, a cutting-edge approach to thermal management that promises to further enhance energy efficiency and reduce operational costs.

AZ14

A Monumental Leap Forward

The most ambitious phase of the campus to date, AZ14, is currently under construction and set to become operational in 2026. With a staggering 64 MW capacity, this facility will more than double the campus's existing capacity. AZ14 will also feature the latest advancements in data center infrastructure, including high-density racks, modular design, and advanced automation.

AZ15

The Future of Data Center Design

Looking ahead, AZ15 is already in the conceptual design phase. With a planned capacity of 48 MW, this facility will further solidify the AZ1 campus as a leading hub for data storage and processing in the Southwest. AZ15 will continue the campus's commitment to innovation, efficiency, and sustainability, incorporating the latest advancements in data center technology and design.

A Collaborative Approach to Design and Construction

The success of the AZ1 campus is a testament to the collaborative approach taken by Corgan who worked closely with Vantage Data Centers, McCarthy Building Companies, and the City of Goodyear. The campus not only meets the highest standards of functionality and efficiency but also seamlessly integrates with the surrounding community.

A Model for the Future

The Vantage Data Centers AZ1 campus is more than just a collection of data centers. It is a model for the future of data center design and construction, demonstrating how innovative design, collaborative partnerships, and a commitment to sustainability can create a campus that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
