A Co-Branded Refresh
The Etihad Lounge at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) is a co-branded renovation for Etihad Airways and Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club. Corgan took on the challenge of transforming the vacant 6,875-square-foot space into a welcoming, full-service lounge that was also designed to meet LEED Silver standards.
The result is a light-filled, two-story space that accommodates areas to relax, dine and work. Guests spending time in the lounge have the option for direct boarding to certain Etihad flights.
Small Space, Big Impact
High ceilings and expansive windows allow daylight to flood into the vibrant and lively main lounge space with the dramatic bar canopy serving as the lounge’s focal point. The bar lounge is furnished in rich jewel tones of topaz, amethyst and sapphire blue, complementing the overall material palette of calming neutrals, warm wood tones, and luxurious metallic finishes.
A Place for Everyone
The lounge amenities were designed for all types of travelers. In the wellness zone, guests can find the reflection room for meditation or prayer. They can also relax in an library area featuring shelves filled with art books and curios. An enclosed family area provides comfortable seating, toys, and games.
The intimate mezzanine level provides additional seating with plenty of power and charging options. A carefully curated selection of art and greenery allows the guests to work or unwind in a restful area reminiscent of a living room.
