In the heart of urban Phoenix, The Cereus is a testament that pays homage to the city's essence and neighborhood spirit. Ensuring an unparalleled resort-style experience becomes not just a goal, but a mandate, securing and enchanting new tenants within the realm of luxury residences.
Carrying out the vision of a real estate developer, Corgan created the design concept for the speculative building featuring high-end finish outs and elevated amenities to support the growing number of people moving to the region.
Inspired by nature itself
Taking elements from the Cereus cacti, an indigenous species native to the surrounding desert, the multifamily residence will tower over the Phoenix cityscape as the tallest high rise in the region. The façade starts as a hexagon-shaped structural form and incorporates subtle angular variations on each of the levels, creating an undulating organic movement that mimics the cactus itself. The graceful aesthetic pays dividends in sustainability, shading and cooling each unit from the bright Arizona sun.
Oriented for optimal views and sunlight
Elements of biophilia continues into the elegant lobby where floor-to-ceiling glass creates an indoor/outdoor environment. A network of cactus beds in raised planters and a backlit panel ceiling reminiscent of a starlit evening sky leads guests to a lounge area which features warm wood tones and a living wall. Atop the parking structure, a haven of amenities discreetly unfolds, offering an intimate escape from the bustling streetscape. A private business center and a leasable event room that connects back to the deck and rooftop pool are situated at the north end of this amenities level. Bathed in sunlight, the pool becomes the focal point, its allure visible from within the lounge, drawing residents' gaze southward. The fitness center benefits from morning sun for early birds and contributes to keeping the space cooler later in the day. This sanctuary enhances, rather than obstructs, the views of the city skyline and majestic mountains beyond.
