Wanting to foster a sense of continuity across their international offices through bold, branded spaces and “themed” rooms, the blockchain technology company R3 tapped Corgan as the Architect of Record to partner with Gather Design to bring their vision to reality at their New York headquarters.
A space as unique as the business itself.
Created to delight and surprise, the “Moon Room” transports a lounge to outer space. Reclining in rocket-inspired orbit spitfire chairs, users view an LED Hercules constellation on the ceiling and exaggerated graphics of an R3 lunar landing for an immersive space experience.
High-tech meeting rooms with R3 branding along with hexagon shaped banquets create spaces for employees to work and collaborate.
A recording studio featuring custom acoustic wall panels are sound proofed for the client’s “Life in the Fast Chain” podcast. The pantry flexes as a space for large office huddles with a retractable projection screen and a hospitality bar aptly named “Bar3,” offering multiple seating spaces for employees and guests to interact.
Throughout the project, Corgan collaborated closely with the client’s design team to deliver the creativity and detailed documentation to create a stellar design that takes users on a journey to the outer limits.
