Keeping American on the cutting edge of branding standards.
This recently completed Admirals Club includes a Concourse Level entry lobby with a monumental stair leading to an expansive Mezzanine Level club space centralized within the Terminal. As passengers ascend the double-volume atrium into the main lounge, they enter a light and airy atmosphere with signature wood slat wall dividers, cozy lounge seating, and bold local artwork - all highlighted by natural light flooding in from a new large-scale skylight.
Last renovated in 2000, the Admirals Club was dark, with heavy rough stone clad walls, dim lighting and dark finishes. As part of American’s worldwide rebranding efforts, many Admirals Clubs were targeted for a refresh. The renovations at Terminal A began when American Airlines was testing many new branding standards. Corgan worked with American to evaluate the floorplan layout, space functions, finishes and design features to effectively incorporate their branding strategies within the constraints of the existing space.
Key design features include updated signage and wayfinding, sweeping ceiling elements, LED lighting with improved building automation and power at every seat.
